Dreadful fire button control. Sometimes it seems it doesn't want to shoot because is 'busy' with the rest on the screen. Not a good point for a schmup. Presentation and sound is OK for such budget game. |
| Maybe the best "tech demo" Game for the platform back from the 80s. Most of the drawbacks people see in this game were put on purpose by the author(Gary Rimmer) to make it more difficult. Its the only game from the 80's that can look new homebrew games straight in the eyes. |
| Always thought this game was actually quite good, if you waited a few minutes on the title screen, pressed reset then the game would play with the music continuing. cracking tune, I have my 800xl rigged into a pro logic cinema amp and sounds totally brill. |
| At first I had the same opinon as Dan, but now I have been playing this game the last few days, and I think it is still a cool game!
After the complete 6x3 zones the game is finished, so that is a goal on it's own.
As a Kid I had this game on tape. It looks good. Controls are a bit 'slow' and the shooting is sometimes not accurate. At this moment the game has 5.2/10 ... I think that is too low. I'd give this game a 7. |
| Nice parallax scrolling! The game itself, though, is unplayable - the ship is stupidly slow and quite massive, making it nearly impossible to dodge enemy fire.
The music is a rather terrible cover of the Sanxion soundtrack on the C64. |
| Gameplay was quite dull, although the parallax scrolling was quite nicely done. But it's worth playing just for the music...! |
