Another game inspired by the original "Defender of the crown". "Ksiaze" ("Count") is nicely done overall and it is genuinely enjoyable game. It is written in BASIC (that's why it tends to be a little slow at times). I noticed it is too short and too simple, but it's just enough for a one or even two sessions with emulator:)
Arcade elements from the original DotC are missing, but the overall impression is nice. If you like this game, you should try "Wladca" (also from Mirage Software) - it's more challenging and complex game, but on the other hand, it lacks this charming simplicity which "Ksiaze" has. |
