Comparison of Several Juno First Ports!
The Good Atari 2600: Chris Walton develops a Homebrew unlicensed port that somehow manages to move tons of multi-coloured sprites with great audio…..Commodore 64: speaking of great audio….Scott Hiscott went wild with the SID audio chip and it sounds great! …oh plus multi-coloured sprites.
The Bad Atari 800: I think Hiscott was trying to recreate the rumble of the Arcade. But it’s too loud and in my opinion spoils an otherwise great game……MSX: Surprised me how fast the (single coloured) sprites and in coming fire move making it the hardest version…But I was able to on an emulator assign R1 as down. It worked quite well.
The Bottom Line Drum roll please!…….1) Commodore 64….2) MSX….3) Atari 2600…..4) Atari 800…..What do you think?
