This game was one of Antic magazine's infamous moments, towards the end of their run. It shows you how little attention they paid to their competition, unlike their readers! The pipsquirt submitted this game with literally everything unchanged, except for putting his name in place of Schwener's. Antic later printed an apology and asked if anyone knew how to contact Schwener so they could pay him for the program. I always wondered how that turned out, and if there were any legal ramifications for all involved. I also wonder if Lowell is the star programmer he sought out to be or if he continued to have an issue with plagiarism into adulthood. That would be something if he ever decided to run for a political career. This could come back to haunt him. :) |
