Testing a game under emulation only does NOT count and is not guaranteed to work on the real thing! I have tested this game with real Atari 800XL and two pairs of original Atari paddles - result: It does not work! Furthermore I have contacted Fandal and told him about my problems with this game and he confirmed that it does not work with Paddles at all. So whatever you did on Atari 800 Win Plus 2.8 (an old version, it seems, but even my version 4.0 is already old and outdated!), it does not work on the real thing. Fandal also looked at the code and said it cannot work this way with real paddles. But if you find the time, maybe you can look at the gamecode again and fix it, so that it works with real A8 paddles ? And if you own a real A8, I can even send you a pair of Atari paddles (which you can keep then) and test it... |
| Game was developed on Atari800Win Plus 2.8. In Atari800Win paddle emulation can be set by selecting in your menu Input->Mouse (or Atari->Mouse) then selecting paddles as emuleted device in mouse port 1 (top limit of paddle range must be 228). Then capture mouse by pressing F12. |

Tested by several people (including me) and it does not work with paddles on real A8. You have to press the paddle trigger of paddle 2 to start the game, in the game paddle trigger of paddle 1 will shoot, but turning the paddle knobs of paddle 1 and/or paddle 2 does nothing. This means, the game cannot be controlled at all and is completely redundant... |
