************************** Hardware requirements ******************************
Any Atari ST with 1M of the memory. But in the case of 1M memory some new
digital sounds are suppressed! Recommended configuration is MEGA STE with 2M
or Falcon.
****************************** Installation ***********************************
ST FLOPPY:
Floppy disk images description in the raw *.MSA format
disk A, file PUP_A.msa, disk name POWER_A 83(0-82) tracks/11 sectors
disk B, file PUP_B.msa, disk name POWER_B 83(0-82) tracks/11 sectors
Use the utility Msa_ii_3.prg to create ST floppy disks.
Your Atari has:
1 Mbytes: power_up.prg move to A:\AUTO directory
2 or more Mbytes: power_up.prg should be in root A:\ directory
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ST or PC emulated HARDDISK:
In the case of the harddisk installation game needs 2M of memory.
Copy contents of the disk images PUP_A.msa and PUP_B.msa to the same directory
with an arbitrary name on the harddisk. Every directory names with suffixes _A
or _B can be joined to the one directory without alluded suffixes.
e.g.
GFX_A
-----> GFX
GFX_B
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PC Emulator:
If you use a PC emulator for Atari ST computers, then insert the disk
image PUP_A.msa to the virtual floppy disk A and PUP_B.msa to the floppy disk B.
Finally make a reset of the ST machine and start to play the game. You must set
up at least 2M of the RAM memory. TOS version 2.06 is recommended.
If the MSA format is not supported by the emulator or the emulator ignores write
operations, then use Msatost.exe utility to create equivalent *.ST images.
At this moment (11/2002) the best PC emulator is STEEM (http://steem.atari.org/).
**************************** Game memory mode *********************************
One mega mode ----> if power_up.prg is situated in root A:\ directory
and your Atari has 1M memory
----> no PU plus sounds are present
One mega mode with more sfx ----> if power_up.prg is situated in A:\AUTO
directory and your Atari has 1M of memory
----> main PU plus sound are present
Two mega mode ----> any Atari with minimal 2M of memory
----> full version of the PU plus
!!!!! If the file power_up.prg is in A:\AUTO directory, track editor cannot be
called directly from the Power Up game and game don't use the blitter in
animation !!!!!!
Activated memory mode is displayed on the text screen at the beginning of the
game.

Q: Memory overflow problem!
A: The game needs at least 1 Mega memory. If you have harddisk then you need
2 Mega or run game from floppy disks. If the memory is still small and
your Atari has 1 Mega memory, then move the file power_up.up to A:\AUTO
directory.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: The screen scrolling is too jerky.
A: If you have 16 Mhz Atari, try turbo mode. If you own the blitter, switch it
on.
If your computer is only ST then set sound to yamaha FM and screen size
to small.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: I had selected 16 cars per track in the track editor and in the game were
just 10 cars.
A: The Power up plus has the new maximal car limit.
