Dennis & Denise - It's Yer Money I'm After Baby
by Philip Rankin
(c)1991, Philip Rankin, PR Software
Licenced to Budgie UK for distribution etc. etc. etc.
Usual Budgie UK licenceware rules apply.
Okay that's the usual crap over with, so before I start I will
put The Wonder Stuff's 'Never Loved Elvis' CD on, and turn up
the volume ....
Plot: (for all you plot lovers...)
Denise has been captured by the evil tyrant Mr X.
Denise has a wealthy dad who has put up a massive reward.
Dennis has a borrowed a smallish amount of money (ie. enough to
keep a third world dictatorship in arms for 10 years) and there
are some very angry people who want this money back.
Dennis decides to try and rescue Denise.
You are controlling Dennis.
Plot end.
How To Play:
Basically you have to move accross each screen, from left to
right, and within the given time limit. Easy you say, well not
quite because Mr X has laid down a few traps for you to avoid.
Isn't he nice?
On every screen you will see a couple of tokens, which someone
has happened to leave lying around. It would be a good idea to
pick these up as they could be beneficial to you. Following are
a list of token types:
1) Increase Time
2) Decrease Time
3) Give Dennis an extra life
4) Freeze Dennis so he is unable to move
5) Remove all trap (nasty if you are standing on a carpet)
6) Poison - kills Dennis immediately
7) Teleport Dennis to start of screen
8) Increase Dennis' score by 50 or 100 points
Controls:
To move Dennis left, move the joystick left.
To move Dennis right, move the joystick right.
To make Dennis jump, press the joystck fire button.
To make Dennis duck, move the joystick down.
To pause the game, and view your score, press the spacebar.
In the subgame you have to reaarange two number sequences so
they are both the same. The controls are:
To move the pointer left, move the joystick left.
To move the pointer right, move the joystick right.
To swap two number press the joystick fire button.
Before I do the adverts, give you my address etc... I would
just like to publish a disclaimer:
" I take no blame for the sprites occasionly jerking - this
is a 100% STOS'ed program. Except for the loader, which
is 100% pure machine code .............................."
