* "CopyCats" works in all ST and TT resolutions.
"CopyCats" is really quite easy to use, so I won't go into the lurid
details...
* CopyCats runs as either an accessory OR a program, depending on where
you put it and how you name it.
* At the top of the panel is the copyright box. You can "grab" CopyCats
by this box and drag it about the screen (MEEEEEOOWWWWWWWWW !).
* Below this are the boxes you will try to mimic.
* You can click on the NAMES "Speed", "Repeat" and "Response" for a
short description of the function...
SPEED: How quickly the program selects boxes.
REPEAT: How many boxes you will need to mimic to win. If you select
50, then you will need to repeat a sequence of 50 boxes.
RESPONSE: How quickly the box redraws after you click on it.
* Clicking on START begins the game. Selecting an incorrect box ends the
game. Clicking on EXIT or hitting the key exits the program.
* Clicking on the "parent" box centers CopyCats on the screen, unless its
a resident DA, in which case it returns to its previous EXIT position.
* If a file named COPYCATS.CUR is present in the SAME directory as
COPYCATS.PRG(ACC), then CopyCats will load a User Defined mouse
.CURsor.
Users can create their OWN custom mice using UncleMouse V.1.0a or
newer (available most everywhere) !
BTW: The CURsor file supplied is of the standard GEM arrow. If you
change the last letter of the file to "X" you can disable it
and see that it REALLY does work !
* That's It ! Have fun...
TOS BUG
- - - -
NOTE: If you have TOS 1.4 or above the "mouse-doubling" bug may play
games on the box you select (by highlighting the box but not
releasing it). At least I think that's what's causing it since I
couldn't recreate it with TOS 1.2. Anyway, to release the box simply
click ANY mouse button (preferably the RIGHT one so you don't accidently
select the box a second time). This doesn't happen all the time so
don't worry about it too much.
