To run CASTLE FRANKENSTEIN simply insert game disk in drive A
then turn on/reset you computer, if all is ok, you should hear one
of Gary Wheaton's merry tunes, after which a title page, the game
should now be loaded.
The controls are joystick only, walk left, walk right and
fire to activate pad.
The idea of this game is to collect all the objects that are
scattered around the platforms ,and once collected rush to the door
at the bottom of the screen before the time runs out .
To help you collect the objects, there are Teleport pads
which transmit you across open spaces depending on which way you
are facing, anti-gravity pads to levitate you on to a higher
platform, to activate the pads press the fire button just before
you step on one.
There are other things that can hinder your movement like
electric shock pads that stop you in your tracks, or green mould on
the platforms that slows you down.
As well as things that slow you down there are the other
occupants of the castle, things that are out to kill you if you get
in their way.
As the rather vague story in the game is trying to tell you,
your ultimate goal is to create a Monster out of a pile of bones
that has gone missing, the bones are scattered throughout the
first 19 levels of the game, and all you have to do is get them to
level 20, where you pull the odd lever and stick them together.
Note.
Not all levels contain bones !
Also you only get 9 lives !
