A delightfully fun, colourful and well presented take on the formula established by Jaleco's City Connection. You can tell the folks at Core were heavily inspired by the popular "cartoony" platformers of the era such as Rod Land and Rainbow Islands, but rather than just aping those games we have a formula that wasn't used as much in 16-bit arcade-style platformers.
Of course, it's nothing new to veterans of Miner 2049'er on Atari 8-bit, but we'll let them off. :)
