----------------------
MEGAMIX II is just a little, friendly follower of the first
MEGAMIX published by BUDGIE.
Again, two players try their best to find pairs of equal tiles.
In this version, both players gain the score, that is shown in
romanic numbers on the tiles.
So, a player who found the pair of 'VI' tiles gains the score of 12.
If he had found the pair of 'II' tiles he would have gained the score of 4.
We have some extra tiles, too, with some (in a way mean) functions:
- '*' tiles double the score of the player who found the pair
- ':' tiles divide the score of the other player by 2
- 'SWAP' tiles are the meanest in this game. They swap the scores of
both players.
So, it is possible, that a player may have a very high score, but if
the other one finds the 'SWAP's, all his work was done for nothing.
You can find out different strategics how to win the game using these extra tiles.
But be careful ! The other player knows their functions, too !
A game ends if time is up or if all tiles (extra-tiles excluded) are found.
There exists a time counter on the right part of the screen.
If the white marker has moved to the top of the collumn,
the game is over.
The time counter might bring up some problems for the two human
players, if a player holds his mouse, though it is the other
player's turn, for example. In this case, press the 'B'-key
during the game and after a done turn, the time will stop until the
right mousebutton os pressed.
Pressing 'B' once again will turn this mode off.
'P' will pause the game.
Every time you select from the little upper menu board, the time counter
will stop.
Pressing 'M' during the game will toggle the music on and off.
'K' deletes the interrupt.
'N' will bring you back to the titlescreen.
That's it for the game.
I didn't include a hiscore table, because it seemed to be of no use
here.
I hope you have a lot of fun playing this game.
