The arcade, while having some elements of Spy Hunter, is really much different from the arcade ports.
Visually the AtariST and Amiga are the same with a disappointing smaller screen. However, the sprite work and colours are fabulous!
The AtariST has disappointing sound effects like the 8-bit versions. The Amiga has imaginative effects with meaty explosions!
Finally, the gameplay can be frustrating as your motorcycle can be tossed around. However, there is a strategy: stay within the traffic, close enough to shot them down and watch your back.! I suddenly was making progress and having fun while not relying on cheats.
Recommended with the Amiga having much better sound. But, the AtariST still having gorgeous graphics and fun gameplay. |
