An incredible game which seemed to make the VCS seem like a new console! The scrolling is so smooth, there is even inertia to the sideways movement as well as up/down when changing speed, and the guided firing is brilliant. It looks ans sounds great and the challenge is so well-crafted. An absolute classic and I'm quite hooked on it again, nearly in joystick-snapping mode like in the good old days!!

I really like that one, I play it regularly, but not so many time during a Session. It's technically incredible, although I find Laser Gates more impressive!
Try the River Raid Plus-Hack, it adds the Balloons from the 5200-Version as Enemies.

A really great game for the Atari 2600. I have time playing this that would be very long. You're in a plane shooting other planes, boats, & even bridges while grabbing fuel.

River Raid is my favorite all time 2600 game. It is the work of a pure genius and it literally invented the top-down scrolling shooter genre. Too bad Carol Shaw didn't apply her obvious skills to making more incredible games.
