The title of this game was misleading for there were no Exocet missiles in this game at all. You in fact controlled a ufo that began the game above ground avoiding the fire that came from two kinds of tower (one tall, the other short) whilst attempting to destroy them in turn as the screen scrolled from left to right. Destroying ten towers allowed an underground tunnel to show up and you then had the choice of staying above ground or venturing beneath it. You only had three chances to enter the tunnel for failure to do so would result in the speed of the shots of the towers increasing. Entering the tunnel was much like the action on the surface save that you had less room to operate in and in later levels the tunnel narrowed making progress even more tricky. The graphics were very basic and in the sound department there was a lot left to be desired. Game play too was very basic and limited for if you failed to enter the tunnel life above ground became very hard, very quickly. There was no sense of satisfaction in playing it.
