Great Shooter - but Millipede is better. Technically Centipede suffers from Flickering and it's astounding that Millipede, although having much more Enemies on the Screen, does not have that Problem! But Centipede's still great fun though and undoubtedly a Classic for the System! |

The Atari World Centipede Video Game Championship was held in München on September 14, 1983. In the 18-and-under age category it was won by the then 14 year old Stuart Murray from the UK, scoring 323,512 points. In the 18-and-over age category it was won by the then 19 year old Andrew Brzezinski from the UK, scoring 322,044 points. Both won a seven-day, all-expenses paid trip for two to the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. |
