I could play that Game FOREVER!
With Difficulty A, fast Asteroids and Hyperspace activated it's a nice Challenge and faithful Conversion of the Arcade-Game. Never gets boring!
Space Rocks maybe a bit more varied and technically superior, but i couldn't say which Game is better! They're both Classics! |

Two different versions of this game exist. One shows a (c) 1981 ATARI, INC. title screen, the other doesn’t.
There is code in the program that displays reserve ship icons, but it was disabled.
The Atari International Asteroids Tournament held in Washington D.C. on November 14, 1981 was won by the then 16 year old Andrew Breyer from the USA, scoring 142,910 points and winning $5000. |
