Hi, Great site. I was browsing the web to see if I could find any of my old Atari programs and found your site by chance when I stumbled upon my Anagrams game. I found some of my other programs listed as well. It is great to find my Atari programs living on. You are welcome to include any of my other programs, check out my website for more Atari programs ... www.johnap.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk Thanks John

Real nice site. The screen shots and instructions are wonderful. In all my years as an Atari computer user I've never gotten tired of my old 8-bits. It's so good to see so many people feel the same way! P.S. If you have kids, make sure you turn them on to the Atari. My kids love it. They have the new PC games and such, but they still spend plenty of time playing carts like Gauntlet, Star Raiders, etc... on my old 130XE. The little ones especially love the Light Gun. Barnyard Blaster is the favorite in my house (played on an old 800XL).

Of all of the Atari sites and ftp server I have explored thus far, Atarimania.com is the most complete database to help me find the long-forgotten games or software for Atari XL/XE. I wish it has more search features, ie. whats the largest file size? what are the games released in 1995, if any? Which games are in ML (Machine Language, 6502 binary native) to filter out BASIC ones? Which ones was in the form of ROM than floppy disk? and most importantly, which ones are in USA and Europe (and other countries)? The ponderable questions Atari historians would like to ask. But hey, atarimania.com and atariage.com are exciting sites to peek the never seen before stuff! :o)

What can I say that hasn't been said by all the great comments. Like most, I bought my first Atari in 1980 and finally moved on in the 90's when it became obvious that Atari would not survive. I learned to write programs on an Atari and the skills I developed contributed to the programming position I now enjoy. Thanks for a great site, and let us know if we can contribute in any way!
- Karl Rinne2004-09-06
author of "Dark Star" and "House of Usher". Congrats! Brilliant site!
- GT Turbo (Cerebral Vortex)2004-08-13
Nice site, i like, that remind me some old good years !!
- Pratik Patel2004-08-07
This is a great site! Good work guys! I still have fond memories of growing up with Atari. Starting with the 400 then the 130XE and finally a 520STE. I learned to program on those machines and here I am now working and making games for Electronic Arts! I'll never forget those late nights in front of a flickering TV as I peeked and poked memory locations and learned about sprites and game logic - your site brought all those memories back. Congratulations on a great site once again!
- John Alvarez2004-07-17

Good work! It's nice to finally see a structured and detailed implementation of Atari 8-bit software descriptions. This is definitely going to be one of my favourite Atari 8-bit sites! Freddy - Atari Preservation Project http://www.abbuc.de/app/
- Mr.Bacardi2004-04-11
Hi ! Your site is really great and it delivers very detailed information ! I especially love your database for XL/XE ! Keep up the good work and I hope the missing items will be updated soon ;-) - Mr.Bacardi -
- Andrew Bernstein2004-02-25
You guys rocks ! It's a truly wonderful web site and you show such passion that I don't think anybody's gonna catch up with you anytime soon. The fact that you mention such rare and hard to find titles + the software houses associated with them is just plain wonderful (beyond your web site, where am i going to find 3D Red Baron and all these German software houses ? Even Mr. Bacardi limits himself to the biggest names). Anyway, keep up the good work. AB.

I have been logging on to your site for some time now and have watched it grow and grow! I have enjoyed my 8-bit Atari since 1983 and although I have always kept right up-to-date with the latests hardware/software gizmo's, still rate it as the best home computer ever made. Many thanks for your support and providing some rare information and pictures, please continue to do so.
