Wow, a new look! Great effort

This a great resource. I have my old 1040 ST but found it easier to use Steem. I just need to get an old PC internal floppy to recover my 3.5 disks to ST images. Unfortunately, USB floppy drives do not support all special disk formats beyond 720 KB.
- Thank you for your effort.2026-08-02
Truly appreciate your great effort & time spend on making all this happen for us & new generation.I try to download AtariWriter file in my Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5250U CPU @ 1.60GHz (1.60 GHz) but it dosent run due to different format i guess.I don't know how to Run those maybe require an Atari device or emulator etc.I come here after checking this link https://litreactor.com/columns/a-brief-history-of-vintage-writing-software/.Then i started to search for AtariWriter.I hope you will also focus on how many old vintage device has this Word processing capability and possiblity to save in modern methods like USB or print and scan OCR to mobile phone etc will make all these old vintage device still relevant today.

Thank you so much for this. I just downloaded and played some of my favorite games from the early 80s - what a wonderful thing!

I was a fortunate kid in India to have had this console who grew up during the early 90s. I'm thankful to my dad who bought me this. I became a game dev purely because of owning this. I have a son now, and I am at an age, where even NES is "too much" and I wanted the pure gameplay of 2600 I had. Thank you so much for your work

I was trying to learn about the first popular cartridge-based game consoles, which led me to search for ROMs so I could emulate them and see what gaming looked like back in 1977. I came across this website, and it will definitely remain in my bookmarks as a treasure. I don't know who created or maintains it, but they have done an incredible job. What could have been a simple Google search turned into a wonderful journey through the 1980s. Thank you for your work.

I have always believed that there is something magical about the Atari and all its variants and versions, maybe it’s the simple but effective nature of it, maybe its look, but even though I’m young and in my twenties, I wish I had experienced that simpler and more magical era. Cheers

Hello Marko. I need help signing in! I registered years ago but can't remember the email I used or the password. I'm having trouble trying to Register, no email is being sent to my current email so I can Activate my account. I would love to post my Makin' Whoopee from 1988, along with a picture of the original first copy made (3.5-inch Floppy Disk and packaging) and the instructions on how to play. Amazing resource as I work my way through completing a Tempest clone in 68000 assembly for one of my university courses. Cheers!
- Denis M. Bennett2026-01-12
I created a game called Makin' Whoopee! back in 1988, I was able to sell about 50 copies to a store Called IB Computers in Portland, Or. before they closed up due to IBM taking over the market. I can actually play my game on my Windows 11 system using Tos102us.img with the Steem_v3_2 Emulator. At the time I also created various other versions including a Star Trek version using Star Trek characters in place of actual dice. (joystick activated) --- Wow! That's a cool bit of trivia, Thank You for sharing! We would love to preserve the original game and any additional design documents, possible box or label art, game versions etc. if you still have anything left. Best Regards, Marko from Atarimania ST

So Great ! I've just unboxed my Atari 400 & 130XE store preciously. I only did that during Covid pandemia and a few times since 1990. Straps of tape recorder has to be changed, but 1050 disk drive work fine. I think I may contribute to the game & programs database soon as I will received a SIO2PC communicator. For now, I'll look for how to submit applications. Thanks to every Back to the Future Revivals!

Amazing site. I love looking at the games list chart for the Atari ST. Inspiring site and nice to see a strong Atari Community after all these years. I have a you tube Channel that I started in February with the same name Ataribasement playing my favourite ST games from the past and looking at ones I've never seen....

I have several copies of "The New Aladdin". One of them has a bunch of autographs on the inside of the plastic cover. One is John Henson, the main programmer according to one of your threads.

Here it is! Childhood memories galore of our Atari 800. And now with PCs ridiculously more powerful than that old box, I have basically rebuilt most of my cartridge and disk collection (and more) in a hard drive folder. In appreciation for the work of the people who built and contributed to this site, I already started paying it forward with reviews of games I know the most. I also seem to have some titles not yet uploaded, so I plan to do that next. I will even try to track down a few programs I wrote for the Atari 400/800. Let's all have some fun!

Crazy things, i like old computers, computers over 8 bits overrated, long live to 8 bit systems
