Can anyone find "aliens: the search for newt"? It came on a disk with both the c64 and atari versions on it. Some people say it does'nt exist, but I know for sure.. back in the day I copied it... but lost it when i sold my 800xl(w/ an indus gt drive and an xm301 modem!!). I looked all through homesoft as well..

I love playing my old atari games. Im almost fifty years old and still play all the old games.your site brings me back to the days of putting quarters in the machine to play pong.

i beginned wiyh a Atari 2600vcs,got a 800xl+1050,ST STE STF, I loosed all my 800xl softs (+3200games,appli ect!!...) in a house fire,water!!!Thanks for this GREAT site almost complete,there all best and famous games i know for atari,like the lucas films ,synaps,english software,sierra,brotherbund,activision,ect games are present...Great job!!!!,many thanks from a old hard-core gamer from the first ages..Thanks,Thanks,Thanks ^-^

Excellent site! I did several Atari 800 games for Adventure International before college and it's nice to see them all listed here. I've finally ordered a SIO2PC cable so I can get you a Star Trek 3.5 .atr and better copies of Galactic Empire & Trader soon.

My computing career began with a 600XL. Upgraded it myself to 64K ! Started with a datarecorder (1010), and later upgraded to a diskdrive (1050). What a great site to see the stuff I played with !!! I'll check my 'dusty&rusty' archive to see what I have left.

Never mind, I figured it out... the game was called Shamus.

I developed the game Syntron but thought it was long lost until coming across your site. Thank you!! I have a few other games to contribute if you would like them. I originally developed Syntron because there was no Robotron ripoff for the Atari 800 (and if there was, I wouldn't have been able to afford it at that time anyway). I then developed "Escape from Syntron" because I loved another arcade game for (I think) the Atari 800. It was a commercially available game (though not made by Atari - and I don't think it was ever a coin-op game) that came out sometime in the 1983-85 period. You would go through mazes and shoot monsters a la Berzerk or Robotron, but there were things (keys?) you could pick up along the way and then move to different sets of mazes and eventually "win" the game somehow. I can't remember if you won by escaping all the mazes, or rescuing a princess, or what it was. But it was a fun arcade style shoot em up with a quest element to it. Does that game sound familiar to anyone?

I programmed Advanced Pinball Simulator for codemasters back in the late 80's. 1988, if I remember rightly through the fog of years. Nearly knocked me out seeing it here; this site is fantastic. I still own the copyright for this piece of rubbish, but since I made very little money out of it I'm really glad you've got it up here. Codemasters offered me a pittance for the copyright way back in the day and, of course, I refused. I was in my teens when I made it and I have fond memories of the time, so even though the game is rubbish I didn't want to give up the rights. I'm really chuffed that you've got it here for people to download. Don't blame me for the music, though. As for the bugs, they were all my fault; well I was teenager when I wrote the code. This is a wonderful site. Tons of stuff that really brought back good memories. Cheers. :)

Looking for Adventure Construction Set for the Atari 400/800 computer. It was programmed by Stuart Smith and published by Electronic Arts back in 1980 or so. I own the original floppies and due to some problems when I moved from Iowa to Florida, they have become unusable! I was hoping I could get a download of this excellent adventure maker. Back in high school, my friend and I had a small adventure company that used the C64 version and a friend of his that had both--he'd convert our C64 adventures to Atari. I eventually fell into an Atari 400/800 system with a floppy drive, tape drive, joysticks and a mouse. ACS was one of the programs I got with that system. Please help me. P.S. This is the *BEST* website for Atari 8-Bit software. Though some of it is unavailable or "missing", it just proves that the Atari 8-Bit series of computers were the best and easiest to work with. I do miss 'ACS', though...

Excellent site - very well presented. Great to see some program listings from magazines. I notice there are programs from the UK Home Computer Weekly magazine. I had a couple of games published in that magaizine when I was a child (HCWMAN (PacMan clone) and THE CHAOTIC CROSSING (Frogger clone), so when I can find the magazines in the garage I submit the them. Please keep up the good work.

i was delighted to see the almost definitive records regarding the Atari 65XE as it is otherwise missing from computergame journalism. (Having been refused entry into the wider commercial market by the success of the C64, Spectrum and Amstrad 8 BITS, this format was almost erased from computergame history) I was particularly pleased to find info relating to 'Space Raiders' and its sequel in reference to the source movie. Insightful.

Great site, finaly I found "Fiffikus" here, an old Public-Doman Quiz-game which entertained me for hours and hours in the past while I was a child. Thank you!
