An unusual, non-violent isometric adventure originally known as Zombies, Realm of Impossibility is a well-regarded title on the Atari 8-Bit that still plays rather well today... but be prepared for some increasingly bizarre level geometry as you progress! Adding to the NO ZOMBIES discussion from earlier.. It works fine for me using the 'Atari800Win PLus 4.0' emulator (XL/XE settings), though it's much easier than ZOMBIES due to lower amount of enemies. E.g. in the first level, there are none here, while in zombies there's a zombie already on the second screen..

I hear there's a rom/xex conversion.
I'd love to play this again. My Ultimate Cart begs for it.
Anyone? :-)

Cool, good to know, so thanks for that. The problem still occurs on my actual 800XL, so is there a fix for that somewhere?

.ATR version works in Altirra 3.1 (Windows x64)
You must switch the machine profile to 400/800 48K OS-B for the monsters to appear.

Excellent game. Too bad it can't be played on any emulator properly - the enemies don't appear even on the ATX version on any emulator I've tried it on.

Fun, chaotic action. The two-player co-op feature was great since it made it easier to go deeper in the game levels. But I would usually drive my friend crazy because I would get too carried away with the dropping of the crosses, which in turn caused him to get trapped and then ambushed by the zombies and other creatures. :)

If this game was to be released today, it would probably go with the original title that's it based on since zombies are in vogue (and marketable)!

OMG I have forgotten all about this game. Very mysterious and good. I can't wait to try this one again.

Fast paced and fun and a superior cooperative 2 player game as well. Music is also very clever and catchy. Another of my very few "excellents."
