Synapse Software's Quasimodo, released in the UK by U.S. Gold's Synsoft imprint, is not, as some people claim, a clone of the arcade game Hunchback, but rather an unusual and interesting platform-action game with a pretty stiff challenge to offer! The version available here for download is a bad version. It's missing the opening sequence, first level difficulty is way harder than usual and the game messes up when you reach the castle wall. I don't know if it is a beta version or not.

You can get a working version at

Real bells sounds out of that Pokey chip. How did John Atack do THAT??? This is another great Synapse title that I personally never could conquer. You've got to be good at rhythm, much like Pitfall, which I'm not. I simply watched my sons whip through this one. I was good at throwing rocks at the Orcs though, so I didn't feel completely out of it. This game plays a lot like Synapse's 'Necromancer', but more humor here. Very cute graphic rendering. No other game is even similar to this, other than Necromancer, and the comparison is a loose one. This game is certainly worth owning. Add it to your collection. "The bells! The bells!"
