I just obtained a working copy of this disk, though I'm reluctant to send it out again in the mail. I have an SIO2PC; can I create an atr by daisy-chaining the 810 and the SIO2PC?

Seems the link in my previous comment screwed up the formating.

Ali Baba in Age of Adventure has a game speed setting from 1 to 5? (2 was default), whereas the original only has a default speed. Unfortunately, I've checked all the other Atari games archives on the Web and none have AoA, and the files for Ali Baba are all of the original release. If anyone has a copy of AoA, could they send it to AtariMania and maybe the other Atari games archive sites? I can help to transfer the original disk to a disk file on a modern PC.

From http://www.atarimagazines.com/v6n4/productreviews.html:
"And pace is where the game bogs down. Of the five speed settings, the default is 2 (and 5 isn't all that fast), but the game accesses the disk drive often enough to make your head spin."

According to the Ali Baba section of the AoA manual:
"The higher the Speed value, the faster the game will respond and more skill will be required in controlling your characters."

Manual (http://project64.c64.org/games/0-l/index.html) was the same for both C64/Atari, with a separate Atari Reference Card (http://mocagh.org/ea/ageadv-refcard.pdf) for platform-specific info.

Did EA update Ali Baba game to run on XL/XE computers or were the titles identical to original?

Actually I think I have the original disks somewhere..whoever runs this site we could discuss how I could make them available (maybe if I can find them). This was a great set and I would love to play it again

These are two of the most well-designed adventure games of all-time, and it's a shame that they haven't been remade.
