While it's not in perfect shape, an original of ULTIMA II has surfaced on Ebay and the 2021 asking price is no less than $650. The map is included. https://www.ebay.com/itm/114819682750
And if you're using an 800 with a S-VHS cable like I am, get used to black and white...artifacting is actually a by-product of Composite Video which the programmers learned how to use in their games. S-VHS connections eliminate it entirely.
This did/does have a few colors - but this needs artifacting turned on. If using an emulator - just look for the artifacting options.
I'm pretty sure my copy of this game on the Atari 800 had limited color -- green, purple, white, and black. It wasn't just black and white like these screenshots...
I had a blast playing and solving this game! Anybody remember stealing food from the McDonalds, traveling through time in the moongates, flying the airplane and rocket and best of all, building the bridge of boats (an unintentional glitch in the code) from one continent to another? Truly a ground breaking game and a totally immersing experience, hours and hours of mysterious fun. All hail Lord British (son of actual Space Shuttle astronaut Owen Garriott.)
