Happy memories writing and selling this game, as it was my first aged 16. Wandered into a little computer game shop in the corn exchange in manchester, and said Ive written an atari game, would you sell it? Yeah we have a software house upstairs was the answer. No internet then for research so it was complete luck. I was proud as anything when I saw my first game on the shelf of the shop, and also the opposite newsagents (which is now Next in the arndale)

I agree with Roberto's comments: a game that deserves more levels, but is fun anyway!

Despite only having a few stages (approx 5), Cavern Commander is a fun game. You have to get your ship through the level and land on the pod at the end. After you finish all the stages you loop back to the start with harder enemies (similar to Donkey Kong). Although there isn't a great deal here, it's definitely worth a look.
