Yup this is an excellent piece of work. I did not expect anything because of the limited hardware power. But it plays an amazing strong game. I later found out this is the program that was the surprise hit at the 1989 Computer Olympiad (taking the 3rd place after the almighty Chinook and Gil Dodgen's Checkers). |

I was going through my old Atari computer disks recently and found this one that came with the Antic magazine back in the mid '90's. I have fond memories of playing this game with my boys. As I remember, it was an excellent checkers game on the Atari 8-bit computer. Antic really did a super job on their monthly magazines and extra disk! Search this one on Ebay and get it!! |

Other version with the same title:
Antic.
Before the title appeared as a disk bonus in Antic, it was submitted to different publishers (such as First Star Software). The program not only played a strong game but talked as well, a feature which, unfortunately, was left out in the magazine edition.
Two sides:
_ Game
_ Work on Voice Master samples
Many thanks to John Hardie for dumping this program! |
