----------------------------------------
How to Play:

Pentominoes is an ancient Mathematical
puzzle in which you must slot all the
shapes into the grid. The shapes are
made up of all the combinations of five
square blocks and can be fitted into
the grids in many different ways. I
won't tell you how many, but it's an
awful lot.

The shapes can be either ROTATED or
REFLECTED, so manipulating the shape.
Once you have got the required position
for the shape, point anywhere in the
shape and press both buttons on the
mouse. This will lift the shape, you
can then move the shape to the required
position on the grid and place it down
by pressing any mouse button, (make
sure it fits, no over lapping.)

Once you have found a solution to any
of the grids it will save it to disk
for later viewing. You may only view
previous solutions once you have found
a solution for that grid.

File names for solutions:

PEN3 & PIN3 - Solutions on 3 x 20
PEN4 & PIN4 - Solutions on 4 x 15
PEN5 & PIN5 - Solutions on 5 x 12
PEN6 & PIN6 - Solutions on 6 x 10

----------------------------------------
Controls:

Use the mouse to control the hand and
select the shape

Left Button - Rotate Shape
Right Button - Reflect Shape
Both Buttons - Lift Shape
Any Button - Drop Shape

ICON at top left corner:

Select this to get the grids or
controls. Selecting the Icon will
bring up an Alert box with options

MOUSE GRID CANCEL

Selecting MOUSE will give you the
mouse controls.

Selecting GRID will give you another
Alert box with three options. These
are the different grid sizes. There
are four, but it does not display the
one you are currently playing.
Selecting on one of these gives you
the appropriate grid.

Selecting CANCEL cancels the option
box.

5 x 12 is the Easiest I think, you
may think differently once you have
played it a while.

6 x 10 is the next Level of Hardness

4 x 15 is the 3rd Hardest

3 x 10 is the Hardest of them all

----------------------------------------
Hope you enjoy the game as much as we
do. Have fun and remember it ain't
as difficult as it may first seem,
just keep at it. We found that
sometimes we may get no solutions at
all and other times we will get a
whole string of them.
