THE STORY
Lupo Alberto is a nice funny character of the comic strips
created by Guido Silvestri (Silver is his nickname).
"LUPO ALBERTO THE VIDEOGAME" is a program commissioned
by an Italian software-house for Amiga, Atari ST and
Commodore 64 computers. Unfortunately the ST version wasn't
put on the market because Atari games give little
profit in Italy.
So we decided, against the market will, to give every
ST owner the possibility to have this amusing game by
putting it in Public Domain software.

HOW TO PLAY
THE OPTIONS SCREEN
Once the loading has ended, a screen with some characters
appears.
To select the game option, highlight a character moving
the joystick left and right and choose it by pressing the
fire button.
The available options are, from left to right:
- ENRICO the mole: shows the LUPO-HIT, the best five
scores of the day.
Leaving the disk writeable you save the new high score.
Press fire to return to the main menu.
- LUPO ALBERTO: play with Lupo Alberto.
- MARTA the hen: play with Marta.
- GLICERINA the duck: turns music on/off.
- CREDITS BOOK: shows the authors of the game:

Press fire to return to the main menu.
1 PLAYER GAME
To start the game choose one of the two main characters
(Lupo Alberto or Marta) and press fire twice. The game
will start with the selected character.
2 PLAYER GAME
To start the game choose one character and press fire, then
choose the other one and press fire again. The game will
start simultaneously with two characters. (N.B. the first
character selected will be assigned to the joystick in port 1).
THE GAME
Aim of the game is to guide Lupo Alberto and/or Marta in
the search for a quiet place to stay together. To do that
they have to pass 10 levels in a given time.
- Touching other characters costs a life.
- To have reason of the enemies, you have to jump on their
head, making them fall down through the screen. Some
enemies climb up from the platform and must be hit several
times before they disappear at the bottom of the screen.
- If you jump on some platforms you score bonuses that can be
collected to increase points to reach the top of the
LUPO-HIT!
- Some of the enemies release a special bonus of extra-points
or a special item when they disappear at the bottom of the
screen. Some items increase movement skills, others
defensive or offensive skills.
CONTROLS
To control Lupo Alberto and Marta, move the joystick in the
following directions:
- Up: Jump. The more you push the joystick the higher
the character jumps.
- Left: Move left.
- Right: Move right.
- Fire: Activate weapon (only if collected).
Holding down the fire button you get a more powerful shot.
During the game the following keys can be used:
- SPACE or P Pause (pause the game; press again
to continue).
- ESC or Q Abort (quit the game and go back to
the main screen).
Pressing the ESC key in the main menu you go back to GEM.
TRICKS AND TIPS
- Lupo Alberto and Marta have different characteristics:
learn them in order to use them in the best way.
- Learn the right tactics to get rid of each enemy.
- In every level there are hidden platforms that contain
a lot of bonuses.
- Try to use all of the items that you collect to discover
their effects.
