Instructions - Jungle Hero

                           JUNGLE HERO

To run Jungle Hero just click on the file JUNGLE.PRG. Then once
the program gets to the title screen you may press the button to
start the game. The game is played with the joystick. The
controls is on the title screen. The space bar toggles the music
on and off.

The purpose of the game is to destroy the officers at the desks
and save the hostages. After each officer is shot you are shown
the number you have killed.

A couple of hints! The first screen has a person setting on the
back of a truck and he is sleeping. In the center of the screen
is 3 twigs in which you have to jump over. If you step on one of
them then the guy wakes up and blasts you. You have to get close
enough to the man to shoot him, but dont bump the truck he is on
either. Also, if you shoot at him from a distance he wakes up and
shoots you. But the best thing I've found is when you make the
guy jump, while he is in the air hold the joystick to the left,
until he takes a step or two.

The second and third guys are self explainable. You must duck
while they are firing, and you cant get real close to them, but you
have to get a little close. On the second screen there is a grey
shed, you can pass this by a couple of steps and then shoot. The
third guy is basically the same. A nice hint here, would be to
push the joystick to the left while they are in the process of
firing and walk a short distance and duck. Just repeat this
process until you get withing distance.

This game was written and compiled with STOS basic. It is the
first game I've released in Shareware. It is my fourth program
written with STOS. I hope that you enjoy it. Due to the violence
contained in the program, you may wish to consider whether or not
it should be played by children under 17. If you would like to
make a donnation, my address is on the title screen. Also, if you
have any comments feel free to drop me a letter. Have fun, and
enjoy.

                             Thank-you,
                                   Jason
