ABOUT THE GAME:
This quiz-game is based on the conzept of JEOPARDY. At the beginning five
themes and five answeres and questiones for each theme are chosen. The
number written in the buttons shows the score-value of the answer. If you
coose one button, the answer is drawn on the screen. Then you can choose
if you know the question to the answer (click [Yes]) or not (select [No]).
If you have choosen [Yes], you get five possible questions. If you choose
the right one, the shown value will be added to your score, else your score
will loose the value of the question. If you have chosen [No] in the last
dialogbox, the score doesn't change.
When you have selected all answeres, the next turn begins. This turn
is similar to the first, but the worthes of the answeres get the double
value. When this turn is finished, one theme, one answer and one question
will be chosen, and you can enter, a number of score, after the theme
is drawn on the screen. Then you get five questiones to choose, if you
select the right one, your entered number will be added to your score,
otherwise you will loose this number of score.
At the end, a highscorelist appeares.
I think it's clear how to use a GEM-program. But the program includes some
new GEM elements because of a new GEM-library by Wolfgang Werner:
a) Flying Dialogs: If you click on the box in the upper right corner of
a dialog-box, you can move it (dialog flies). This is
useful, if a dialog-box hide an information.
b) Window Dialogs: Dialogs are in windows,so that you can let them opened,
and work in another dialog-box at the same time.
c) Underlined Letters: You can use the keyboard to select a button. You
have only to press ALT+the underlined letter.
d) 3-D-Draw: If you work with 16 colors, the dialogboxes, buttons,
alertboxes, ... are drawn in 3-D.
You can buy packets of 10 questiones for 5 DM, 40 ATS (™s), 2.5 œ.
