Game Concept
Here is an early release, a little
game from The Conceptors in
France.
These are the people who wrote
Intro Concept and Picture Concept
both available from L.A.P.D. on
disks P.24 and A.47 respectively.
Anyway all you do is double click
on GAME_CNC.PRG and wait. Once the
first picture appears press the
mouse button then repeat this two
more times. All the first three
pictures are in French and
are basically saying hello to all
their contacts and giving their
address so that they can be
contacted.
Now a smart digitised animation of
the MGM logo appears then a
picture appears and a tune starts.
Press space to start the game.
Your choice is from three games:
Solitaire
Towers of Hanoi
Connect 4
and AIDE is a help file but in
French so its not much help to
British people!
Below is a description of the
games.
Solitaire (Option 1)
You basically try to leave just
one peg on the board at the end of
the game. To play this game you
must, using the mouse, drag a peg
into its new position. You must
move the peg over only one peg and
into a free space. The peg jumped
over is then removed. Once you
have removed as many pegs as you
can then click on TAB and the
game finishes. Press TAB again
and a different shape of board is
used for the game. Press STOP and
you return to the menu screen.
Tour d'Hano‹ (Option 2)
(Tower of Hano‹)
This is an old puzzle where you
must move the tower on the left
and rebuild it on the right but
you can only move the rings from
the pile to two positions and in
order to pile rings the top ring
must be smaller than the bottom
one. At the start you must select
how many rings you wish to use by
clicking on the number of rings
up from the bottom of the tower on
the right of the screen after the
alertbox in French appears. Again
press STOP to return to the menu.
Puissance 4 (Option 3)
(Connect 4)
This is really a two player game.
The aim is to get four counters of
the same colour in a row, in any
direction:horizontal, vertical or
diagonal. To place a counter use
the cursor keys to move the
counter at the top of the screen
until it is above the row you wish
to drop the counter down then
press SPACE to drop the counter.
The computer DOES NOT detect when
a game is won so it is up to you
to stop the game when one player
has won. Once again STOP returns
you to the menu.
Press ESCAPE on the menu screen to
exit back to the desktop.
