       DOUBLE JUGGLE VEGETABOBBLE

   -THIS IS VEGETABLE JUGGLING 2002-
=======================================
       "GOTTA CATCH THEM BALLS!"
=======================================
             Build 0.06
=======================================

"Balls" thought Charlie, feverishly
scratching his scrotum.

Balls had been a major part of
Charlie's short but undistinguished
life. Through his large owl-like
eyeballs, he had watched, stroked and
loved many balls of different shapes
and sizes.

This fascination had begun with the
unfortunate incident involving the
tennis ball, the garden gnone and the
rather athletic lady living next door.

Pushing his way through the ping pong
balls that littered his bedroom,
Charlie moved out in the blinding
sunlight enveloping his circular living
room.

"Balls" mumbled Charlie again, and
stumbled outside. Today was going to be
the day.

                 O O O

"So you want to be a chef?"

The large hairy man stared at Charlie
with unimpressed eyes.

"Oui, Naturallment"

Charlie had spent the last three months
perfecting his French skills in a vain
attempt to show his credentials as a
gourmet chef. So far, he had only
learnt two words.

"Cut the crap, where are the
sandwiches?" Boomed the fat man.

Nervously, Charlie handed over two limp
pieces of bread, their measly contents
barely enough to make a small bump in
the surface.

"What the hell is this?" Demanded the
fatman, spitting a mouthful of sandwich
across his desk.

"It's a vegetaball sandwich .." Charie
started to explain.

"You're sacked!" roared the fat man.

"But you haven't even hired me yet!"

"Get out!"

                 O O O

It hadn't gone quite according to plan.
His life was in ruins. There was only
one solution - run away and join the
circus.

                 O O O

His shoulders still ached from the
surgery. He attepted to kick himself,
but missed. Damn bionic legs. That
would teach him to enlist in the circus
run by escaped nuclear physicist and
nano technician, Doctor Helmut
"Bumpkins" Haslehoff

"You muzt prove yourself!" Hasselhoff
had screamed at him.

"Those arms - useless!" The doctor had
grabbed his elbow "I make new ones.
Bigger and better, yes?"

"And the legs. Not straight enough! And
as for this .." at this point the
eminent doctor had made an obscene
lunge for the luckless Charlie. That
was the last he could remember.

Charlie looked around the arnea. Above
his head, midget acrobats did
cartwheels along a piece of razor wire,
whilst making sarcastic comments about
his hairstyle and farting.

Charlie tried to ignore them, he had a
job to do.

He closed his eyes and remembered his
intstructions. Three vegetables,
enclosed in glass balls quivered in his
shaking hands. He just had to juggle
these from now until the end of
eternity, and Doctor Hasselhoff had
assured him he would then be considered
for the job.

He flexed his robotic arms. It wasn't
going to be easy. But what was?

He tossed the first ball into the air.

Above his head, one of the midget
acrobats farted theatrically.
