             BEYOND

TETRIS ANYONE?

In the beginning there was TETRIS, now
there are more TETRISClones in the
computing world than you can shake a
stick at. We have to admit, most of us
are strategists at heart and we will sit
for hours trying to solve puzzles.
BEYOND falls right into this category,
so be prepared to spend hours of
addiction trying to better your score
in BEYOND.

The object of the game is simple, keep
the screen clear and build the highest
score! Parts containing up to three of
six random patterns will begin falling
from the top of the screen. They can be
erased from the screen by matching three
'like' patterns, either horizontally,
vertically, or diagonally. If the parts
don't line up, you can rotate them until
they do. Once the parts are erased,
the parts above the erased ones will
fall to fill in the empty spaces (this
sometimes causes a chain-reaction
of erasures). As the level increases,
so does the speed that the parts fall
and at level 5, the saying "dropping
like flies" comes to mind.

Make sure that BEYOND.CL1 is in the same
folder as the program BEYOND.PRG. To
start the program, make sure your
computer is in LOW Resolution and double
click on the file BEYOND.PRG or
BEYONDSH.PRG (Shareware Version).

Once the title screen appears, you may
click the mouse button or press any key
to go to the main game screen. The Main
Menu is simple, choose a level to start
at, choose ABOUT PROGRAM to see info on
the program or get HELP, or choose QUIT
PROGRAM to exit back to GEM. (Note:
Level one is the only active level in
the Shareware version)

During the game, you may press ESC to
stop or P to pause game.

The game control keys are:
4 or left arrow key = move piece left
6 or right arrow key = move piece right
5 or down arrow key = rotate piece
0 or space bar = drop piece

Your level will increase after every
100 pieces erased. The speed will no
longer increase once you reach level 5.
If you can keep up with it a level 5,
you have a quick mind! (Only registered
version)

To order the registered version send
a mere $5.00 to:
