======================================

This game is based on a very similar
game for the IBM PC running Windows.
This version only runs in Lo-Res due
to the number of colours required. You
can start up in medium rez, Bang! will
change to Lo-res to play and back to
medium rez afterwards.

Rules of play
-------------

The idea of the game is to mark
the position of mines on a grid
without uncovering them. The size of
the grid varies depending on the level
of play, as does the number of mines
to be found. The game is played
against the clock (displayed top left
of the grid). The game finishes when
either you uncover a mine, or you have
correctly marked all the mines in the
grid.

What to press
-------------

The game is totally mouse controlled,
however, pressing ESC at any time will
end the current game.

At the start screen select the level
you want to play at by clicking on the
appropriate level button with the
pointer. Then select PLAY and click.

The grid is now displayed. There are
2 counters on the display. The one on
the right is the time elapsed in
seconds. On the left is the number of
mines which need to be marked. If this
is negative you have placed too many
marks!

Click on the Smilie to start the game
and the timer. You can now click with
the left button on the grid and one or
more squares will be displayed. The
number in a square is how many mines
are in the 8 squares touching it. If a
mine is displayed, it's game over! To
mark a square click with the right
button, and the square will turn red
to indicate a mark. Click the right
button again and the square will flash
to mark an 'unsure'. A third click
will unmark the square. Pressing HELP
will display a square which does NOT
contain a mine - this 'costs' 2 seconds
but can be worth it !

NOTE: Marked squares cannot be
      uncovered but unsures can.

Happy Exploding !!!
