Andromeda

An obnoxious bunch of space pirates
have been foolish enough to invade your
galaxy and you have bravely volunteered
to rid the universe of their unwelcome
presence. Piloting the lone fighter
craft Andromeda you take off and head
into space...

Your craft is equipped with the
standard issue front firing laser, but
you can improve your ship by shooting
aliens and picking up the following
flashing power-ups sometimes left
behind :-

1. Side laser fire
2. 8 way laser fire
3. Homing missiles (press fire for one
   third second to launch)
4. Circular laser fire
5. Extra ship
6. Shield for 30 seconds
7. Random laser, homing missile and
   smart bomb fire (auto launched)
8. 2 smart bombs (press fire for one
   third second to launch)
   
The game is joystick controlled over 8
levels, set in space, over huge
spaceships and over moons. After 30
seconds the game will show a demo of
one of the early levels. You start
off with 3 lives, the first level is
very easy with little defence (to let
you get used to the game!) but it
doesn't last...
