If you've ever saved a large block of
data, like a sample or a picture, to
a disk, you will know how slow it can
be. You'll be on a pension before it
manages to write a 500K sound sample.
That's why Speed-Write was made.
Speed-Write turns off the verify flag
that causes the delay. My tests show
that it can save as much as:
6 seconds saving 100K of data.
or
2 seconds saving a Degas PI1.
Speed-Write is a small program that
fits neatly into an Auto folder on
your disk(s). You'll never know
it's there - until you save a large
block of data!
