Practical uses
Since 1991 Atari Corp. used PageStream software to produce the layout of the Atari Explorer magazine with Atari Mega ST4 computers. The resulting files were sent in PostScript format to local service bureau to be printed with a Linotronic 330 in 1270dpi.
Origins
Pagestream was introduced at International Desktop Publishing Show 1988 in Islington, UK. It was developed from Publishing Partner Professional.
Bomb threat
According to ST Format issue 4, SoftLogic who developed PageSream was in serious situation after firing one of their employees. That particular employee didn't like their actions and was suspected of having sent a bomb to the office! Fortunately no one was hurt as the bomb didn't work.
