Midi Recorder

INSTRUCTIONS

The demo of the the MIDI RECORDER program is ment to give an idea about
what sort of program the Treesoft midi recorder is and does not pretend
anything else.

The idea that started this program was to write a program that allowed the
user to use the ST with it's built in MIDI interface as an alternative to
a multi track  taperecorder.

So the midi recorder is not a sequenzer in the way that its helps you to
compose or develop structures,forms loops etc...

That will be up to the program(s) that will follow the release of this
program (midi composer etc.....).

What the program does (will do), is more like recording and providing the
user with an easy to use and simple interface ( GEM ) to unfold the hidden
power of the ATARI ST and the world of MIDI.

When working with an "ordinary" recorder there is always the problem of
labelling, of finding the spot you were working on.
This program hopes to have found a solution for that.

Also the "editing" and "rearranging" of your recording should be somewhat
easier then working with the tape and "glue" and all that stuff.

For instance with this program it will be a very simple operation to
insert some new music on a track without affecting the other tracks.
All this will be possible in 1/200 sec. precision in timing.

When a certain piece of music is ready you can copy the tracks you specify
with the selected speed, delay and channels to an empty track and re-use
the other tracks.
So don't think you've only got eight tracks...............

With variable speed and delays on each track you may create all kinds of
unusual effects.

And there are some more things in stock, like a library support for the
 DX7 but you'll have to buy and see the real thing for that............
