INSTRUCTIONS
Pommitus V. 1.2 Tatu Salmela 1996 English translation 4.9.2016. POMMIENG.PRG: English version POMFPU: Finnish version POMMITUS.PRG: Finnish version without FPU support. The game should work on any ST, STE, TT or a Falcon with a hi-res or VGA monitor. It can be played on RGB or a TV in Falcon hi-res compatibility mode. About the user interface: Once you begin the game there`s a panel in the top left corner. You can drag it to another place on the screen by dragging it from the top left corner "dog ear". Use LMB(-) and RMB(+) to adjust the force and angle and switch between weapons. Once you click the screen anywhere outside the control panel, you will launch the weapon. The computer opponents are stupid and will likely commit suicide. Adding another human player in the mix makes it much more interesting. Quote file format: Quote files contain the comments players make when firing or dying. There is a Finnish quote file, SUOMI.CNF, you can overwrite the comments, add some new ones or make a new file. You can switch the Quote file by pressing RMB on "Quotes: On" option in the Game Settings menu. The .CNF is plain ascii text, has a T: header before firing comments, and K: before death comments. Take a look at the SUOMI.CNF file to understand better. Pommitus was originally written in 1996 on a 1 Meg STM with hi-res mono monitor, in GFA Basic 2. I compiled it recently in GFA 3.6TT to make it work on newer machines. Tested working on Falcon 030 with TOS 4.04 and Hatari emulator with TOS 1.00. Tatu Salmela tatu.salmela@gmail.com
