INSTRUCTIONS
This is a collection of simple programs I have written over the past two years which may be amusing to a young child. All programs require a color monitor. The programs MIRROR.PRG, TILE1.PRG and TILE2.PRG are simple drawing programs. By applying simple symmetry operators, any scribbling looks interesting. COLOR.PRG uses the fill command to color outlined areas in a set of pictures (COLOR1.PI1, COLOR2.PI2 etc.). By superimposing textures, you can get interesting looking pictures. TYPE.PRG gives your child the opportunity to use the keyboard of the computer. A map of the keyboard is displayed on the screen and your child presses the letter in red on the displayed keyboard. Nothing happens unless the correct letter is pressed. There are no upper case letters, but your child must know about the space bar. The sequence of letters pressed, form the words to the nursery rhyme 'Ba Ba Black Sheep'. The program plays part of the tune, each time a verse is completed. NITPICK.PRG displays an array of two similar shapped letters (Hebrew letters in the higher levels). Using the mouse find and click all instances of the requested letter. The higher levels are difficult for even adults with good vision. This program runs in medium resolution. The package of programs and their sources (*.LST files) may be treated as public domain.
