INSTRUCTIONS
FIRE GALAXY for the Atari ST
============================
A port of the C64 game Fire Galaxy by
Henrik Wening (Kingsoft, 1987).
The aliens come in formations of eight,
each one following its leader, and they
drop bombs. Shoot one, and the aliens
behind it break away as a new formation
with a leader of its own - and that one
no longer leaves the screen. So shoot
formations from behind. Every fourth
wave (3, 7, 11, ...) is a bonus wave:
32 aliens that do not fight back. Shoot
down a white formation, and your ship
gets more fire power. Up to eight
players take turns.
Requirements

monitor (ST low resolution) and 512K

Additions to the original
-------------------------
- The high score is saved on disk.
- When the game is over, the scores of
all players are shown, the best on
top.
- The title logo shines in a blue
gradient: 512 colours on the ST,
4096 on the STE, and on the Falcon
40 shades in its 256 colour mode.
- The title page, the score table and
the menus are centred, without the
side bar.
- The ship can also be steered with the
cursor keys and Space; both joystick
ports and Jaguar pads work.
- This manual on the Help key.
- Control-Q returns to the desktop.
Differences to the original
---------------------------
- The screens name the keys of the ST:
Esc instead of STOP, ; and ' instead
of : and ;.
- The sound effects are played by the
sound chip of the ST: similar, not
the same.
- The random numbers come from another
source, so the aliens make other
random moves than on a C64.
- On the fast speed, a full screen can
slow the game down a little.
