Trivia (1)

Origins

The game is a student effort from COMP 2659 (Computing Machinery II, formerly COMP 3325), a 3-credit core course in the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program at Mount Royal University, Canada.
The Atari ST has served as the core hardware platform for the term project in COMP 2659 for over 20 years and - still in 2026 - remains the platform of choice for the course instructors.
The core project requirement is to write an arcade-style game in 640x400 high-resolution mode using C and 68k Assembly. Because the project requires teams to build bare-metal software without an engine or external libraries, instructors review progress through a series of strict milestones, automated testing, and a final live demonstration.
Games were mostly developed under the guidance of Professors Paul Pospisil and Dr. Marc Schroeder.
