Identical to the 800 version, an amazing arcade translation for its time that captures nearly all aspects of the arcade classic. The 7800 version may have a smoother frame rate & more colors, but this one more closely captures that Robotron feel. Thankfully, today's gamers have a wealth of controller options which makes this a must-have for all 5200 owners. A stone cold classic.

I'm just blown away by how well this game works with dual 5200 joysticks in the controller holder. It absolutely blows away the experience with stock 2600 controllers in the Atari 8-bit dual controller holder. As for the game itself, it's all here: the frantic pace, the insane number of enemies, and the constant need to move in one direction and shoot in another. Considering this and Defender, it would appear that the Atari 5200 is the perfect system for aficionados of the iconic Williams games.
