I'm giving this port an Outstanding rating because out of all of the ports of Pole Position made during the 1980s the Atari 5200 remains the only console that has a port controlled by analog controls. That makes it closer to the arcade steering wheel than any other port. Like it or hate it the 5200 and Pole Position go together very well.

This game is better on the Atari 8-bit with the digial controllers, but it's perfectly playable here as well.
