I and my friends grew up playing Mario Bros endlessly on my Atari 800XL. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it was, in fact, a 5200 exclusive. This is a fantastic home translation of the arcade. Visually, it takes a number of liberties but has a charm all its own. The gameplay is where everything shines and with practice, you'll be able to bounce and leap anywhere you want, dodging endless crabs, turtles and bugs. Check out the fan edit of this game on AtariAge forums, called "Mario Bros Encore." It changes the character sprites to be closer to the arcade, as well as adding different background graphics. I find myself enjoying both versions equally.
