It's Dan Thompson's Zone Ranger for Activision, an excellent free-roaming space shoot 'em up that, in more recent years, has been patched to actually work properly on PAL hardware and emulation! See the comments below for links to the updated version. Let's Play! https://youtu.be/O4KGxmCkRpE

Zone Ranger is a great game. There is a new PAL fixed version details here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/243256-zone-ranger-pal-fix/ turns out we shouldn't be able to fky throught the walls in the inner sanctum (the pretzel!) There is a lot more detailed information on Zone Ranger in the HSC thread http://atariage.com/forums/topic/243256-zone-ranger-pal-fix/

Does anyone have a working emulator for this game? I recall it being pretty good, but can't quite remember until I play it again.
