Hi my friend :) first of all, Thanks to Atari Mania for the great support to Atarians! About Space Taxi, I want to announce that since a few days a new version 2.4 is available :) the main feature introduced with this version is the bonus life every 200$

This is a fantastic port! I appreciate the effort to get this done, and I love how it keeps the Atari 8-bits relevant!

@Andreatari: Oops, my bad. I meant to say I was having problem with "The Switch" level, as it looks similar to "Sky Scraper." As it turns out, I realize what my "issue" was: On the other levels, pushing the joystick control up thrusts the taxi up in the same direction. But on the "Switch" level, it has to be pushed *downward* for it to ascend. That explains why I kept crashing my taxi. I'm assuming that's what the "Switch" meant. Should've figured that out sooner. D'oh! ;-)

By the way... I released version 2.3 to correct a quite important bug: the version 2.2 doesn't work on real XEGS with RAM expansion. I will public new version before the end of June with some new features (i.e. new life every 200$)

Hi eppy2000, Thank you for your nice comment :) About Skyscraper, I never experienced or heard about any bug in this level and honestly I don't understand the possible causes... Could you send me more info or a short clip (I'm in AtariAge forums) Thank you

Thank You for the fix, Atari Frog :) Your site is amazing... a real treasure for all Atarians

I remember reading the C-64 version being reviewed in Computer Games magazine, and as a trend that would continue for many years, this being one of several programs that had NO Atari 8-bit counterpart. It only took about 40 years for Atari to get this conversion. It's quite well done! The sounds, look and feel is authentic for games of the early/mid-eighties, looking like the sort of graphics you'd get from the type-in programs of the day. I mean that in a positive way. :-) Is it me, but is the Sky Scraper level buggy? Other than the thrusting, it doesn't seem to respond to the controls and the taxi just sinks and crashes. I played this on Altirra and AtariWin800PLus and it occurs in both emulators. The other levels seem to play just fine.

Sorry about that, fixed. Thanks for the great conversion!

Thank you for including my Atari 8 bit version of Space Taxi! I hope that alla Atarians will enjoy it :) However, my second name is wrong: Andrea Cucchetto, with 2 't', please :P
