  Hmm.. I tried running this one on my Atari 800 XL with additional 256kB RAM (QMeg + CompyShop mem.enhancement, TT-DOS for easy disk manipulation included on-board) making it a total of min.required 320), but it didn't work. Tried the emulator (with various OS / memory / PAL vs NTSC settings) to same NO-GO results - the game apparently freezes shortly after thr PLAYER 1 - STAGE 1 screen. There's also a preliminary version, which didn't allow me to get past the character selection screen; but I assume that's not really a flaw - FYI, it lacks the story intro and both title screens.

  A wonderful conversion done by Polish programmers is available at the following URL: http://yiear.atari8.info/ I must admit that seeing the Imagine logo on a great port (the original XL/XE Arkanoid tape release didn't have a boot screen) made me wish for a decent port of Green Beret.
