It's fun once you start to get into it. Never simply accept the first character it rolls for you (it could be crap), upgrade your armour and weapony immediately, and wander around town fighting skeletons and Bantir a while before you venture away. The spell system is obnoxious and so is the banking and item distribution. Also, when you enter dungeons, you will occasionally be asked a copy-protection question based on the tables in the manual. Answer it wrong and your disks go poof.

Only the later issues have the combined Phantasie I and II rulebook. Initially, it came with a dedicated Phantasie I rulebook, which looks completely different. Similar contents though.
