Hello, this is Ron Kim, author of Paper Boy. I have not thought about Atari 8-bit programs for about 25 years and just found this site. What a surprise to see some of my games on it. I wrote this game when I was about 14 or 15 years old. At the time, there were no games of this theme available- years later I saw an Atari coin-op game called "paper boy" and wondered if my game influenced it! Perhaps I should have sued for royalties! The game is simple; each of the dogs senses when you are in their quadrant and simply adjusts it's x and y position to chase you. Because of the timing of the algorithm, sometimes they take a slightly indirect path which makes it tough to hit them with a newspaper. Enjoy!
