If Haunted House on the model 2600 could evolve into an A8 game, here it is. Graphics and gameplay excellent, I love the plot, but the audio is so wrong. No sound on the title page, the track during play sounds like A Teddy Bear Picnic, five second pauses between looping is no good, and the sound effect for getting killed is like slipping on a banana peel. With just a little thunder and lightning and blowing wind, VCS Haunted House could let your imagination do most of the hard work. Every room has a set of candles to light, but what's kickass is every room also has a window you can look out of, which is akin to examining a Map in most adventure games. Atarimania you missed 2 opportunities for juicy screenshots. If the map is accurate there are 113 rooms and 8 stories tall at the highest tower. What a game! And upon losing there's only a You Lose message, when a noisy animation was clearly called for. I hope there's more going on when I finally win.

if you like a challenge try this one!, you have to light up an entire castle, room by room, candle by candle, lots of rooms and pesky things to avoid, yes its a very tough game, nice though!
